General

Here you can find some software to intercept and decode the messages between nokia-handhelds over infrared. The software you can also use to intercept other communication over infrared as between two phones - for discovery windoze or print a document over irda for example.

Software

I have built three packages - all only available as source in moment. To compile the software you need a actual glib- and GTK+ - Libary from
http://www.gimp.org.

irda_intercept

trace the data and write data in a file on disk

irda_hexframes

make from datafile of irda_intercept a frame output
use cmdline-switch:
-l = every frame in one line
-b = binary-decoding is shown

irda_decoder

decode the datafile of irda_intercept in clear-readable text with all protocol-elements
(only a few implemented in moment)

Next steps

make my software better for different situations (in moment makes some coredumps, because its not clean coded by me 8=) )
make decoding-software better (more elemts etc.)
publish all traces
documentation
